Por ser de color blanco, apastela el color resultante.

John Blockley (1921 - 2002) fue un pintor de acuarela innovador que desafió las reglas para crear un lenguaje visual único. Usó esto para pintar figuras, paisajes y obras de naturaleza muerta que estaban llenas de atmósfera, evocadas por paletas y texturas seductoras que realmente ampliaron la definición de pintura de acuarela. John fue un académico de la Royal West of England, dos veces elegido presidente de la Pastel Society en la década de 1980, y también fue miembro del Royal Institute of Watercolors y del New English Art Club.

John Blockley (1921 - 2002) was an innovative watercolor painter who defied the rules to create a unique visual language. He used this to paint figures, landscapes, and still life works that were full of atmosphere, evoked by seductive palettes and textures that really broadened the definition of watercolor painting. John was a Royal West of England scholar, twice elected president of the Pastel Society in the 1980s, and was also a member of the Royal Institute of Watercolors and the New English Art Club.
John had a profound effect on the art world through his books, teachings, and paintings. The influence can be seen to this day in the work of many artists, including those within the art societies to which he belonged.
