*En la Historia del Artista*
Zoltan Szabo nació en Hungría en 1928, donde asistió a la escuela de arte antes de emigrar a Canadá en 1949 y luego a los Estados Unidos en 1980.
Este pintor de acuarelas realiza obras de temas naturales con una grandísima sabiduría. Utiliza todos los trucos o técnicas que se deben conocer si se pinta con acuarela.
Hasta un tema tan simple como un tronco de árbol acaba siendo espectacular en las manos de Zoltan Szabo.
Las técnicas básicas que utiliza son :Mojado sobre mojado, Reservas (para proteger los elementos blancos y más claros), Veladuras y aguadas de acuarela, Pincel seco, Raspado y rasgado, Salpicado, Esponja, entre otros.
Con estas técnicas, mucha paciencia y mucho arte, logra reproducir las hierbas, los reflejos del agua, las texturas, o las formas precisas de una planta. Estos elementos son su belleza, lo atractivo de sus acuarelas.
Es un acuarelista al estilo tradicional en el sentido de trabajador, representando la naturaleza con realismo y conociendo el valor del color acertado.

*In the Artist's Story *
Zoltan Szabo was born in Hungary in 1928, where he attended art school before emigrating to Canada in 1949 and then to the United States in 1980.
This watercolor painter creates works on natural themes with great wisdom. He uses all the tricks or techniques that should be known when painting with watercolor.
Even a subject as simple as a tree trunk ends up being spectacular in the hands of Zoltan Szabo.
The basic techniques that he uses are: Wet on wet, Reserves (to protect the white and lighter elements), Glazes and watercolor washes, Dry brush, Scraping and tearing, Splashing, Sponge, among others.
With these techniques, a lot of patience and a lot of art, he manages to reproduce the herbs, the reflections of the water, the textures, or the precise shapes of a plant. These elements are the beauty of him, the attractiveness of his watercolors.
He is a traditional-style watercolorist in the worker sense, representing nature realistically and knowing the value of successful color.
